Candy Shop is the second single released from the album “The Massacre” by 50 Cent, the American rapper. It was released in 2005, and become number one on the Bilboard Hot 100.
The music is a mid-tempo dance floor.
The lyrics received a mixed review as some critics raised the point that even if the song is “full with sexual energy and cool, it contains edge of hostility, macho swagger and thunderous chest thumping” as said by PopMatters. Ethan Brown said that the song is inspiring and 50 Cents seemed too content with his hypersexual image.
